Artist's Description

I first encounter the Walpole Bay Hotel while on Family holiday around 2006 When I was teaching in England, The flower decked veranda pictured here is a great place to enjoy your morning tea filled with the amazing smells of the beautiful flowers in this amazing location. The beautiful indoor garden is extremely well cared for like all of the mazing Hotel museum.
This amazing hotel was built in 1914, extended in 1927 and is now being lovingly restored to her former glory by the Bishop Family. From the moment you enter The Walpole Bay Hotel you step back in time to the ambiance of a bygone era.
The Walpole’s wonderful 1927 Otis Trellis gated lifts serve all five floors and is the centerpiece of this living museum.
