I first encounter the Walpole Bay Hotel while on Family holiday around 2006 When I was teaching in England, The flower decked veranda pictured here is a great place to enjoy your morning tea filled with the amazing smells of the beautiful flowers in this amazing location. The beautiful indoor garden is extremely well cared for like all of the mazing Hotel museum.
This amazing hotel was built in 1914, extended in 1927 and is now being lovingly restored to her former glory by the Bishop Family. From the moment you enter The Walpole Bay Hotel you step back in time to the ambiance of a bygone era.
The Walpole’s wonderful 1927 Otis Trellis gated lifts serve all five floors and is the centerpiece of this living museum.
David A. Bigelow, known as DABigelow Art, was born in London, Ontario, Canada, in 1965. His artistic journey began during his high school years when he delved into the world of art. His career path split, with half of his working life dedicated to precision as a tool and die maker, meticulously handling technical drawings. The other half was spent as a technology teacher, guiding students in crafting innovative design concepts. Residing in Hamilton, Ontario, David draws inspiration from his surroundings, melding reality and imagination through his artwork. Embracing a restricted color palette, he mixes primary pigments, painting intricate and vibrant images that portray a fusion of genuine and magical locales. His artistic vision allows...
