Artist's Description
The moon seems so large on the horizon as it rises over the ocean. The silhouette of the tropical trees and bushes suggest a tranquil cove where the stars and galaxies can be viewed without being disrupted. I can't say this is not a real place I just may not have seen it before.
About David Bigelow
DABigelow spent half of his working a career as a tool and die maker working with technical drawings and the other half as a technology teacher helping students draw, render and create concept designs. . Just as physical limitations directed me away from a precision applied work life of a tool and die making to the explorative educational life of a technology teacher, recent changes have pushed me from the physical traveler to the metal surveyor where I visit these locations as I step into my paintings as I create them. Painting is about not giving in to what is around you but creating what you want. .
