Jasper national park in Alberta Canada is the inspiration for this lake view. The snow covered Canadian Rocky Mountains provide the perfect backdrop for this peaceful northern lake. The eagle flying over the water has not missed the jumping fish in the background. The small islands are home to many evergreens and wild grasses. The tiny trees in the foreground dont have much soil to grow in but add to the beauty of this national park. Jasper, an alpine town in Canadas Alberta province, is the commercial centre of Jasper National Park. Amid the snow-capped Canadian Rockies, the park has glacier-fed lakes, forests and rivers. The Jasper SkyTram climbs to the summit of Whistlers Mountain, with views of downtown. The Jasper Yellowhead Museum and Archives presents exhibits on the fur trade, railway and early exploration of the park. Municipality in Alberta, Canada
DABigelow spent half of his working a career as a tool and die maker working with technical drawings and the other half as a technology teacher helping students draw, render and create concept designs. . David Currently lives in Hamilton Ontario for more information visit Becoming the artist DAB blog . Just as physical limitations directed me away from a precision applied work life of a tool and die making to the explorative educational life of a technology teacher, recent changes have pushed me from the physical traveler to the metal surveyor where I visit these locations as I step into my paintings as I create them. Painting is about not giving in to what is around you but creating what you want. .
