The last troglodyte dwellings last occupied in England in the 1960s, The Holy Autin Rock house kitchen is located in Staffordshire on the edge of the Mercian forest. These houses built into the rock were a type of holy sanctuary until the reformation. this location is now maintained by the National Trust. Thank you, ESP for a great photo to work from
