Three islands were constructed during the winter of 1995-1996 in the northeast corner of Hamilton Harbour, Lake Ontario, Canada. the purpose of the islands was to provide a secure nesting habitat in Hamilton Harbour for six species of colonial waterbirds. isolated island with a mix of bare and leafy trees is surrounded by calm water under a cloudy sky. In the background, there is a distant shoreline and a bridge spanning the horizon.
